Roundup: Jennifer Beals and Cinemanovels at TIFF 13

Cinemanovels, the film starring Lauren Lee Smith and Jennifer Beals and directed by Terry Miles, had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6th.
Jennifer, Lauren, Terry along with actors Ben Cotton, Kett Turton and producer Kristine Cofsky attended the premiere at the Scotiabank theatre in Toronto. Jennifer and Lauren kept their fans updated  by tweeting during the weekend. Jennifer recommend two films she saw at the festival, Words and Pictures (with Juliette Binoche and Clive Owen) and Little Feet (directed by Jennifer’s first husband Alexandre Rockwell).

Cinemanovels to premiere at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival

Cinemanovels, the new film starring Lauren Lee Smith and Jennifer Beals, will have its world premiere on September 6th at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, under the category Contemporary World Cinema, it was announced today during the festival’s press conference.
Founded in 1976, it’s one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. This year the festival runs from September 5th to 15th. Jennifer and Lauren Lee Smith are expected to attend the Festival.

Jennifer has already started filming Cinemanovel in Vancouver this week and today her co-star Lauren Lee Smith tweeted these photos of the two of them having a good time.

Jennifer plays Lauren’s best friend in this film directed by Terry Miles who also directed Jennifer and Lauren in A Night For Dying Tigers.

Cinemanovel is a new independent film written and directed by Terry Miles (A Night For Dying Tigers) starring Lauren Lee Smith and Jennifer Beals. Jennifer will play the role of Clementine,  Grace’s (Lauren Lee Smith) best friend.

The team of Cinemanovel is asking for your help. To be able to maintain total creative control, the film needs funding and if you are interested in independent films and would like to bring this film to life, you can contribute by donating or just by spreading the word. There are also perks for each contribution. The film is set to go into production in September.
