“Full Out” a new movie for Jennifer Beals

Jennifer keeps being busy with yet another film this time playing a gymnastic coach in the movie “Full Out”.

Full Out is based on the true life story of California gymnast Ariana Berlin. As she zoned in on her Olympic goals, 14 year old Ariana Berlin’s life took a sharp turn when she was involved in a debilitating car accident. Gaining her confidence and movement back through learning hip hop dance, she unexpectedly found herself called back to the gymnastics world thanks to world renowned UCLA Coach Valorie Kondos Field (played by Jennifer).

Jennifer Beals to star in “Starting Tomorrow I’ll get up late”

Jennifer is to star in “Starting Tomorrow I’ll get up late” a film inspired by the life of her good friend the late Massimo Troisi.
Massimo was an Italian actor, director and poet best known for the 1994 film “Il Postino”.

The story line of the film “Starting Tomorrow I’ll get up late” (Da domani mi also tardi) is about Massimo’s life and his love story with Anna Pagnano.

Jennifer Beals to start in a new film “A Wife’s Nightmare”

Jennifer is set to star on a new tv movie for the Lifetime channel “Wrecking Ball a.k.a. A Wife’s Nightmare” and will start shooting Sept. 8th in Kelowna, BC, Canada. The film is directed by Vic Sarin and also starring Dylan Neal, Lola Tash, Spencer List and Katharine McNamara.
This film is the latest instalment of a series of films such as A Mother’s Nightmare, A Sister’s Nightmare and A Daughter’s Nightmare. “A Wife’s Nightmare” has “Liz” (Jennifer Beals) returning home after a mental breakdown, and has to welcome a relative stranger into her home when “Caitlin”, a young, vivacious woman, claims to be her husband’s daughter. The family loves Caitlin, but Liz can’t trust her, and this time she’s not being paranoid.
The film is produced by Tina Pehme and Kim Roberts for A&E International, Lifetime and Corus Networks.

Jennifer Beals attached to supporting role in the film Facing The Wind

Jennifer will play a supporting role in the true crime film “Facing The Wind”. The movie is based on Julie Salamon’s book “Facing the Wind: A True Story of Tragedy and Reconciliation,” which recounts the story of Bob Rowe, a New York lawyer and model husband who killed his wife and three children in 1978 — leading to his subsequent search for redemption after avoiding a prison sentence by pleading the insanity defense at trial.

Jennifer Beals upcoming films and tv projects

Jennifer Beals will be back soon to our screens in different projects. First we will see her on the second season of the Canadian tv police drama “Motive”. Set in Vancouver, the series follows crimes investigations by a female detective played by Kristin Lehman. Jennifer will be guest starring on season 2 but no details yet of role are known. Season 2 premieres on Canada’s CTV on March 6th and  in the summer on ABC.

Roundup: Jennifer Beals and Cinemanovels at TIFF 13

Cinemanovels, the film starring Lauren Lee Smith and Jennifer Beals and directed by Terry Miles, had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6th.
Jennifer, Lauren, Terry along with actors Ben Cotton, Kett Turton and producer Kristine Cofsky attended the premiere at the Scotiabank theatre in Toronto. Jennifer and Lauren kept their fans updated  by tweeting during the weekend. Jennifer recommend two films she saw at the festival, Words and Pictures (with Juliette Binoche and Clive Owen) and Little Feet (directed by Jennifer’s first husband Alexandre Rockwell).
