Cinemanovels, the new film starring Lauren Lee Smith and Jennifer Beals, will have its world premiere on September 6th at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, under the category Contemporary World Cinema, it was announced today during the festival’s press conference.
Founded in 1976, it’s one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. This year the festival runs from September 5th to 15th. Jennifer and Lauren Lee Smith are expected to attend the Festival.
Cinemanovels is directed by Terry Miles (A Night for Dying Tigers with Jennifer and Lauren Lee) and also stars Ben Cotton, Katharine Isabelle and Kett Turton and it’s produced by Jennifer Beals, Lauren Lee Smith, Kristine Cofsky and Terry Miles. The film is about a young woman (Lauren Lee Smith) when preparing a memorial film retrospective for her late estranged father, his work begins to influence her life in strange and significant ways.
